The Ravens Progressive Matrices Task is an assessment of general intelligence.
In the task, both a problem and 8 possible answers are presented. The problem is comprised of 9 patterns. However, 1 of the patterns is missing from the problem. Participants must select one of the possible answers to complete the problem. As the trials increase, the level of difficulty increases. The task presents 36 trials. A practice example is shown with an explanation of how to solve the problem before the real trials begin.
