E-Prime Extensions for Tobii Pro 3.1
EET 3.1 provides the option to obtain diagnostic log files on any EET-enabled experiment. There are 3 different log files that an experiment using EET can produce:
- [DataFile.BaseName]-TimeSync.txt - Writes a log file for the time sync logging output recevied by the eye tracker API.
- [DataFile.BaseName]-Notifications.txt - Writes a log file for notifications recevied by the eye tracker API.
- [DataFile.BaseName]-Messages.txt - Writes a log file for messsages recevied by the eye tracker API. NOTE: This file might only be produced with newer eye trackers.
The log files produce a variety of information including data on the E-Prime time in microseconds, device timestamps in microseconds, system timestamps in microseconds, and response system timestamps in microseconds, message types, and message values.
To obtain the log files, you can configure properties using Startup Info. Double-click the Experiment Object to open its properties, navigate to the Startup Info tab, and either click Edit Local Values (if you wish to obtain log files for only the experiment you are working on) or click Edit Global Values (to obtain log files for every EET-enabled experiment run on the system).
Once you have entered StartupInfo Editor, the following properties and values can be specified to produce the diagnostic log files:
Once you have added the properties and values, your .startupinfo3 file should look like the image below:
