When solving problems which occur within E-Studio, PST Technical Support may ask you to turn on "E-Studio.log file debugging". When this is activated, E-Studio will write information to an E-Studio.log file located within the My Experiments folder that will help PST Technical Support in diagnosing a problem.
To turn on E-Studio.log debugging
1) Select the 'About E-Studio' option from the Help menu in E-Studio.
2) Click on the 'Technical Support' button in the About box dialog.
3) In the Technical Support dialog that appears, click the "Write debugging information to E-Studio.log file located in 'My Experiments' folder" checkbox.
It is important to uncheck the "Write debugging information to E-Studio.log file located in 'My Experiments' folder." checkbox during normal E-Studio operation since having the debug logging turned on can affect the performance of E-Studio, slowing it down.
