Symptoms
Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703, build 10.0.15063.x) interrupts E-Prime’s ability to detect a correct refresh rate.
Detail
Detection of a stable refresh rate is critical to E-Prime’s ability to maintain millisecond accurate timing and reliably predict any timing delays or inconsistencies in an experiment.
Later versions of E-Prime (2.0 onwards) introduced the ability for E-Prime to detect an invalid refresh rate. However, Psychmate utilizes E-Prime 1.x which does not have the ability to detect an invalid refresh rate. Users of Psychmate will not receive any warning or error that the refresh rate is invalid. Additionally, Users will most likely be 1 refresh off from what they expected.
