"The SoundOut playback is choppy, stops playing, and/or is popping!"
This primarily occurs on Windows XP machines. If you are using a Windows Vista machine (or beyond), you should be using E-Pirme 220.127.116.11 or later and change your sound API to CoreAudio.
Complete the following steps to lower hardware acceleration via the Control Panel.
1) From the Control Panel select Sounds and Audio Devices
2) On the Audio tab, click the Advanced button under Sound Playback
3) On the Performance tab, change the Hardware Acceleration. That is, try moving the acceleration a few notches to the left.
