    Note that .es2 & .ebs2 files are also encoded as XML files, but .es2 files encode the XML tag as ASCII text, while .ebs2 files encode the XML tag as Unicode.  Consequently, an e-mail app such as Outlook Web App (OWA) will recognize .es2 files, but not .ebs2 files, as XML files, and since OWA does not allow recipients to open XML files, recipients will not be able to open attached .es2 files (while still able to open attached .ebs2 files).  Safest to send .es2 files in a zipped format.
