A patch is available for licensed users of E-Prime Extensions for Tobii (EET) version 2.0.2.50 who are working with a Tobii X3-series eye tracker. This patch enables users to perform calibration of the X3 eye tracker from within their E-Prime experiment. Without the patch, calibration cannot be performed within the E-Prime experiment and instead must be done in Tobii Studio prior to the start of the experiment.
NOTE: E-Prime Extensions for Tobii 2.0.2.50 must be installed prior to installing the patch.
To access the Download, register on our Support site and log in. Then, you can navigate to the Downloads section and click on the "X3 Eyetracker Series Calibration Patch (version 2.0.2.50)" link to download the executable ZIP archive file named "EET 20250 X3-120 Patch.exe", which contains the patch installer. Running the patch installer results in the following changes to your EET system:
- The following files are installed to the ....Program Files (x86)/PST/E-Prime 2.0/Program folder:
- tetio.dll
- tobiiwrapper.dll
- TobiiEyeTrackerExtension.ebn
- The Tobii PackageFile is updated to 2.0.2.54. To confirm the PackageFIle version, open up any TET sample experiment and navigate to the "Packages" tab on the Experiment Object and confirm the value in the Version column:
After applying the patch to your EET system, the following session-level independent variables will be logged in any EET-enabled experiment:
- TobiiConnectedModel: Logs the eye tracker model that was communicating with E-Prime during the experiment run.
- TobiiSdkMode: Logs the SDK version or versions that were utilized during the experiment run. When an X3 series eye tracker is used, TobiiSdkMode is set to SDK2AND3. For eye tracker models outside of the X3 series, TobiiSdkMode is set to SDK2ONLY.

Where is this download?
You can find the X3 patch download by registering your E-Prime Extensions for Tobii 2.0 serial number on our Support site. Then, once you are registered navigate to the Downloads section. Under downloads you can find Miscellaneous Downloads for E-Prime Extensions for Tobii. The patch can be downloaded from there.
We have applied the patch to our EET system but when we run the EPRIME experiment there is an error message: "Analytics SDK call failed" and we don't know how to solve it.
We thought that the patch would have solved an issue that we have with the calibration when running the same EPRIME experiment without the patch and related to CalibCalculateAndSet routine (TET 2.0.2.50).
