NOTE: E-Prime 1.2 users require 18.104.22.1685 or later. E-Prime 2.0 users require E-Prime 22.214.171.124 or later.
Early versions of E-Prime 1.2 generate an .ebs file that will ignore the value entered for the RandomSeed StartupInfo parameter.
E-Prime 1.0 and 1.1 are not affected.
BUG: Setting RandomSeed StartupInfo value is ignored when attempting to replicate experiment order
A user can set the random seed for an experiment to duplicate the ordering.
To do so, create a StartupInfo item called RandomSeed.
It can be set up to prompt for the value or can have a default set.
When E-Studio generates the code for the experiment, it generates the appropriate call to SetSeed with the value.
Users should not call Randomize after the SessionProc has run because the Lists in the experiment have already sampled, using the previous random seed.
Calling Randomize after SessionProc has run would require a number of lines of script to enumerate through every List object to reset it and is not encouraged.
