does E-Prime 2.x support .gif file format in SlideDisplay or ImageDisplay?

Thanx

Yes with the exception that animated gif files are not supported and the first frame should only display.  An end user recently reported an issue with transparency with .gif and .png files that we are currently investigating.

Hi Brandon,
I've the same problem.
When I insert a .gif image with transparency, I see it correctly in the slide object, but when I run the experiment, I see a black background instead of a transparency one in the .gif.

Have you got any advice?

Thanks you
Luca

PS: I've
- last version of Eprime2.0 (release candidate 2.0.1.119)
- WindowsXP SP2
- Pentium 4 3.00Ghz
- 2GB RAM
- Sapphire Radeon 9600

At this time, transparency inherent to the file format (image or movie) is currently unsupported.  Because of the benefits to these types of formats, PST is investigating ways to provide support for these formats in a future version.  No timetable can be predicted at this time on the completion.

As an alternative, PST recommends using the SourceColorKey properties for image formats that support this type of mask transparency.
