I'm attempting to use some of the EBasic commands from the EPrime software development kit that was included with ASL's Eye-Trac 6000 software.  I've had some success with ASL_BeginRecording, ASL_MarkRecording, and ASL_EndRecording, but I'm having difficulty with  ASL_WaitForFixation.  When I attempt to use this, I get a "cannot assign to function" error message.  I've just pasted ASL_WaitForFixation=True into a an inline script at the beginning of my trial procedure, and the entire "ASL_EyeTracker " library is pasted into my user script.  Obviously, this isn't the correct syntax, or there is an initialization step that I'm omitting.  If someone could help me figure this out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Phil

ASL has recently released a new set of E-Prime samples that are much easier to use (included with Eye Tracker software installation). Also a new chapter on E-Prime was added to the ASL SDK manual. The software and SDK manual are available on the ASL technical support website at http://techsupport.a-s-l.com
