We have discovered some odd behaviour in E-Prime2 beta and RC1.
We have implemented a very simple experiment to test response recording which gives very strange results in the log file.

The subject gets the instruction to press a certain button (1 to 4). This instruction is visible for 800ms after which a crosshair appears. The response window is 3000ms. This is repeated 5 times.
When using the keyboard as the only device, everything works ok and also when the button box (Cedrus Lumina fMRI compatible response pad) is used, everything is ok.
The strange thing happens when both devices are defined for response recording. As long as the subject responds within the 800ms the instruction is visible, the recording is ok. When the subject responds within the 3000ms window, the button response is recorded, but always gets the value 0.

In the attachment buttonLogging1.jpg, all responses were within the 800ms, when the instruction was available.
In the attachment buttonLogging2.jpg, some responses were within the 800ms, others where outside the 800ms but within the 3000ms response window.

The strange thing is also that it works with E-Prime1

I hope to get a quick answer on this one.

There is a known issue when an object with an extended time limit and multiple input masks can provide a behavior similar to this.  Depending on the scenario and version, this may have been corrected or their is script to get the RT value of the input in question.  If you are willing to attach a es file or partial one replicating the problem via the forum or web support we may be better to help.

KB1176 - BUG: Input Mask with extended time limit does not terminate/disarm other masks after running object finishes
