| Hi! I am doing an experiment where blocks are really similar to each other, the only thing different is about presentation time of stimuli. For that, I copied blocks draging. After that I tried to modify presentation times of some stimuli but I couldn't because every stimuli changed. I tried to rename lists and blocks, but it is the same: automatically, the names of every one change at the same time. How could I do it? Thank you!

you cannot at least with eprime 1.x. I saw you can with 2.0 what I do is to work with wordpad on the MyFile.es file, which is the file saved by estudio (the green icon) here I do cut and paste with objects keeping in mind that you have to set different [object] number for each o9bject, and possible also the name hope to be clear

| In E-Prime 2.x, you can copy and paste a procedure and have the option for all of the objects on the procedure to be created too. You can copy individual items in E-Prime 1.x, but objects like List/Procedure will keep the same children named objects. However, you mention that the blocks are very similar except for the duration. If you specify an [attrib] value for the duration and then place the different durations in your block list, then you can use the identical procedure and objects, which also permits your logging columns to have identical names. -Brandon

This aspect of E-Prime (version 1.x) irritated me for the longest time until someone told me how to get around it.
Instead of copying and pasting the item in the Structure window, do it in the Browser window. For example, if you have a slide called Slide1 and you copy and paste it in the Browser window, a new Unreferenced E-Object called Slide2 will appear in the Structure window. Then just drag Slide2 to wherever you want it in your experiment. Slide2 will not be linked to Slide1, so any changes to Slide2 will not change Slide1.
