Hi, Question 1 Can “E-Prime BETA 2.0.1.61” save participants’ vocal responses as sound files (e.g., .wav)? Question 2 Can “E-Prime BETA 2.0.1.61” measure reaction times from the onset of a picture display to the onset of a participant's vocal response (e.g., activation of voice response key)? Thank you very much for your response!

| The current public builds of the E-Prime 2 BETA do not include the ability to record subject auditory resposnes. We have the SoundCapture feature working in our internal builds which will be released to Industrial Partners in a week or so and then likely a week later will be available to the public. E-Prime 2 will have the ability to record the auditory responses. E-Prime 2 Professional will have the ability to auto save this buffer to a file. In initial releases, determination of RT and ACC of the audio data will need to be completed during data analysis. We are investigating the potential for setting a threshold value so that audio data recorded during the experiment could be considered as an RT value. -Brandon

| Hi Is there any news on this yet? Will there be an update soon that can record audio input We're currently running a study in E-Prime 2.0 that is working great, but I currently need to use a second computer to record participants' vocal responses - so when it's possible to record them automatically using the computer running E-prime that will be really great for us!
Thanks! Ben

I also would like to know the current status of vocal recording in E-Prime 2.0. My current set-up requires me to start an external app to record sound and then start E-Prime.
Thanks!

| The SoundIn and SlideSoundIn objects are part of E-Prime 2.0.1.92 or later. Please see the KB topic for more information. -Brandon
