I am working to port a hand-me-down E-prime task to a new computer. I have it working fine on a laptop in Eprime 2.0. The computer I would like to also use it on is a slightly newer tablet PC. I sometimes (but not every time) get the following error:

"An error occurred while attempting to read from the Port I/O device driver."
Last error: 0x00000079
Line 483
Error number: 10057

The exact line number changes between occurences. The tablet PC has no serial port input. I think that I removed all references to the SRBox, but there could be some hiding in there. We plan to use a USB controller with the tablet. The error seems to happen less when the tablet is running off of AC power, but this could be coincidence. Any ideas at all what is going on?
