For children we build our own custom button boxes using just passive pushbutton switches (I like the soft clicky ones), and then plug this in through the expansion connector of an SRBox. That way we get the programming advantages of the SRBox, and we can use whatever buttons we like in whatever arrangement we like. For details please consult the manual that came with the SRBox. You can also purchase an SRBox expansion kit from PST, but if you know what you are doing you can get everything you need from any electronics supplier.
