| Using microsoft tools I deleted version 0.60 which had expired, and (apparently) successfully downloaded 0.61. But when I try to run, a popup window states the current version has expired. This sequence can be repeated. Yesterday after downloading an Activation window came up upon trying to run a script, but clicking the activation resulted in another window suggesting there was only 1 day left and to download a new one. Each time I try to get 2.0 working again, a new version of failure occurs. It is mildly interesting to see what will occur next, but more than mildly annoying since we are now unable to run (yet again). Any suggestions on achieving an actual working 2.0 version? Any thoughts on when a non-beta version that might remain viable for more than a month will be available? 2.0-less at stanford, gary

| I've replied to your web request ticket, but in general the build 61 won't expire for some time. There may be older compoents on your system. The BETA of E-Prime 2 will be issuing some major releases that will soon come to an end of the expiration system. -Brandon

Brandon is a total champ. His reply, which worked:
________________________
If you were to right click on C:\Program Files\PST\E-Prime 2.0\Program\E-Studio.exe and select properties, the version tab should indicate 2.0.1.42 for the file version and 2.0.1.61 for the product version.
[this is actually what I had]
The tool from Microsoft really only removes the installation from the add/remove. There is the possibility older files are still on your system. Please manually delete the C:\Program Files\PST\E-Prime 2.0 folder and perform a install or repair.
[this solved it]
You can alternatively try http://www.pstnet.com/downloads/e-prime/2.0/beta/DeleteBeta2.exe

| Hi, I'm also having a problem with Activation, though it is slightly different. I have several machines that all have the Beta installed. When the last update, build 1.61 came out, I uninstalled 1.60 and installed 1.61 on all of my machines. I was able to activate on all of them except 1. The error message I get is that I have used up all of the available activations for this email, but based on the information given to me when I log in and check how many activations I have used, I still have some remaining. I have included the Tech Report that I was able to generate in version 1.x. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Any thoughts?

| The system is currently counting any activation against your total count. This includes an activation on the same machine but a different version. So although it appears you have about 11 machines, some of them activated 3-4 times. I have incremented your max activations until the system can recognize each machine independantly. -Brandon
