Hi, I'm relatively new at using E-Prime and have never tried interfacing devices other than plug and play ones. However, I need to connect a push button switch to my PC via the parallel port to collect input during an experiment run with E-Prime 2.0.

I've connected the switches to a power source and have them connected to a parallel cable, which is plugged into the port. When I try running the ParallelPortConfigure.es2 file, I get the following error message:

An error occurred while attempting to open the device.

Error: 0x00000001

Error Number: 10051

Does anyone have any insight into what the problem might be?

Thanks,

Sarah
