Hmm, I started to respond that certainly that must be possible without any trouble, then as a check I went to add two SRBox devices to an experiment and got the following message: "This device only permits one instance, which already exists". This happened both with EP1 and EP2. So I guess, unless PST staff jump in and tell us otherwise, the answer is no, you cannot use two response boxes at once, even if they are plugged in to two different serial ports. That must be a limitation of the SRBox driver.
For the record, I got the same response when I tried to add a second instance of Keyboard, Mouse, or Sound device in either version of EP. EP2, but not EP1, did allow a second instance of Display device, which of course is one of its selling features. Finally, EP2 did not allow a second instance of SoundCapture device, which of course does not exist at all in EP1.

| Mainly because of limitations in hardware, there are no plans for support of more than one SRBOX per experiment for both E-Prime 1.x and E-Prime 2.x. E-Prime 2 does offer the ability for multiple devices for many device classes. The Keyboard and Mouse because of their nature cannot have more than one. If you attach more than one of these devices to your computer (via USB for example) they will act in unision. Support for multiple sound devices (output and input) is the most likely candiate for future multiple device access support, but no time table for this support can be determined at this time. -Brandon
