I am now using Version 2.0 Professional, which promises "Easier interfacing with external devices" However there is no documentation on how this is done- do I go back to the old inline script for sending a 5v pulse to my recording software? I have not tried this as I am waiting for the "easier interface" including interface with multiple devices. This is why I bought the professional version. Any clues, any experience? thanks.

The sync events archetecture you are referring to has not yet been implemented.  I would encourage continuing to use the OnsetSignal properties which would involve the least amount of script at this time.  The feature you are looking for is about third in the queue of features being implemented (PackageFile Editor and Property Schemes/Defaults just above it).

KB1318 - INFO: How do I notify external equipment at the exact time that an event occurs in E-Prime?
