I was going to generate the script of the last experiment version (I already did it several times before!) and as soon as I typed the generate icon the software crashed and the file disappeared completely.
I luckely found the most recent backup of what I was doing (that is a very good function!) but I'm still wondering how was it ppossible for the original file to disappear. This is scaring and I really hope it does not going to happen during the course of my experiment.

Regards,
Elia

I just had the same thing happen to me. I lost many hours of work in the process. This is a very serious bug.

Got a similar problem, since I upgraded to 2.0 Build 2.0.1.60 from the previous one -- when I hit run/compile, it crashes, with a message like "The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way."

If you can find an .es file that consistently has this issue happen, please post it here or on a web support ticket.

As some have mentioned, you can get a copy of the last successful save by going to the Tools...Options menu and restoring the backups.

Hello everybody,

i recognized a few times that the software was crashing. There was no special action i did. Sometimes it happens and sometimes everything works fine. One example when it happens is, if i only change the order of ImageDisplay an Textdisplay in a procedure, but not every time i do this.
My actual version is 2.0.1.79.

Thanks

This has happened to me several times when using version 1.x, when the program crashes the actual file is deleted. Fortunately I haven't experienced this again when using the Beta/ Release Candidate for version 2.
