Hi there,

I'm trying to implement an EEG experiment in Eprime 2.0 using video stimuli. I had the timing of my experiment very accurate using inline code to preload the videos at the beginning of each trial, and then using PreRelease in preceeding objects. I also used PreRelease to improve the timing of the TextDisplay objects as per normal.

BUT: I need inline code triggers to mark the onset of most objects in a trial in the EEG data (these send a TTL pulse to the parallel port). The trouble is that when these are added in to the experiment under these conditions, they occur early, e.g. if PreRelease is set to 100 on the preceeding object, the pulse gets sent 100 msec early.

This all makes sense, but how can one get around it and have pulses occuring at the right time? Not pre-releasing is not an option, it introduces massive timing errors. The easiest solution would be to load all stimulus displays (including TextDisplays) at the beginning of each trial where time doesn't matter. But how can one pre-load a TextDisplay in an Inline? Calling .Load doesn't work, because they have no such method. Is there another way to do it?

Thanks in advance for any help!
