Hi,

We have a problem with using a dual screen setup with a projector and a LCD screen. The projector is used to show the visual stimulus to the subject, the LCD is used for experiment control. The stimulus is a 3D animation, which is programmed in inline objects in e-prime.

The problem is image tearing, which is a tearing of the frame in two when there is a lot of movement in the picture. This problem occurs only in the projected image, not on the LCD. The problem is more prominent when we use an image resolution which is far from the projector's native resolution, but it's still there at the native resolution.

We are trying to find out if this is a hardware problem (e.g the projector, cabling, graphics card) or a software problem. What is your view on this? Is there anything I can do with the programming to reduce/solve this problem?

It would be helpful to know what kind of rendering processor e-prime uses, maybe things can be done at that end.

System specifications:
Software: E-prime 1.1
Computer: Dell Dimension 8300, Pentium 4, 2.8GHz, 256 MB RAM
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Projector: ASK M2
