I just thought I would draw attention to the following bug in E-Prime (version 1.2). My apologies if this bug has already been noted elsewhere.
Let's say you have a slide with four text boxes, which E-Prime has automatically named Text1, Text2, Text3, and Text4. To save time in creating a fifth text box, you copy and paste one of the existing text boxes on the slide.
I have found that instead of naming this new text box Text5, E-Prime will sometimes name it Text2. When you try to run the script, an error occurs because two objects on the same slide have the same name. The error is easy to fix (just delete the same-name text box and make a new one with a different name), but it's a bit of an annoyance. Interestingly, if you copy a text box and then paste it twice in succession, the first text box will be named Text2, but the second one will correctly be named Text5. I typically do the double-paste action and then delete the first pasted text box to avoid the error.

| Thank you for reporting this issue. It has been entered into the bug tracking system. However, I was not able to replicate this error. If you later find the exact process in which to replicate this including if you are using the keyboard shortcut or mouse context menus, please pass it on. -Brandon

Hmmm... I also tried recreating the bug in a brand-new E-Prime program, but I couldn't.
It only seems to happen when I modify some of my old E-Prime programs, but I don't know why. However, if I figure it out, I'll let you know.
