I'm sure there's a way to do this, but I can't figure it out. I'm creating an explicit memory task based on the SRTT task, which is programmed in e-prime. I need to use a slide image from that task but I don't see a way to import it or anything. Help, please?

Within an experiment you can use copy/paste to move slide components from one slide to another.

In EP 2.x, you can just drag the Slide from one exp to another.

In EP 1.x, open the Browser from view menu, select the slide in question and choose Copy.  Then open the other 1.x es file go to the Browser and choose paste.

When I copy it, it is only capturing part of the slide image. I've checked the make sure the property settings are all the same, and it's still not the same image. Any suggestions?

Attach a copy of your .es files with the SlideImage you want versus the one you are having trouble replicating here or part of a web support request.

1 SRTT.es is the original task, which was programmed by someone at another university. In this implicit memory task, there are 4 squares that change color in a repeating sequence. SRTT Declarative.es is my attempt to create a task that assesses whether the subject can use their declarative memory to produce the sequence.

The slide that's giving me trouble is "Stim" and you can see the code in AdjustImages that tells it to dim one square and light up the next and so on. I do not know how to write or edit code, so I (and my boss) was hoping I could cut and paste from the original task so we don't have to hire someone else to create this task.

Any help you could give would be much appreciated.

In the original experiment, the Blank object is a Slide and Blank in your experiment is a ImageDisplay.
However, it is more efficient to use the ImageDisplay since it is only showing one image that never changes.
Here is what I recommend...

1) In your experiment, open the AdjustImage InLine and comment out the lines that use the Blank object you just need to put a ' in front of the lines and they will look like this...

'Set Bkgrd = CSlideImage(Blank.States(Blank.ActiveState).Objects("Image5"))
'Bkgrd.Filename="blank_grey.BMP"
'Bkgrd.Load

2) In the original experiment, the Blank object uses blank_grey.bmp.  You have yours setup to use blank.bmp.  Change this if necessary.
