I'm wondering if there is any estimation about the time point when recording of subject vocalisations will be implemented in the 2.0 beta?

Unfortunately, this did not make it into the release today 2.0.1.60.  However, design and prototyping for this has been implemented and will be in one of the next upcoming builds.
