Dear forum,
I spent a few frustrating hours today with attempts to install Eprime 2 (latest release; downloaded
today). Here is the problem:
First attempt to install happened without the new serial key (our computer person forgot to give it to
me); as I got errors for the 1.1 serial key, I entered the beta key given in the dialog window.
Problem is that the computer boots without internet (on purpose - all computers for experiments boot
without internet), so I then could not validate the installation via internet.
I later got the serial key from our computer person.
I removed Eprime2 using the system control/Software list (don't know exact name in English), in order to
re-install with the correct serial key.
However, during installation Eprime does not ask me for the serial key, but continues to start as
a beta version.
So: How to switch from beta version to regular version - i.e., with current serial key - without internet?
(By the way - Eprime2 works; the dialog asking for email address and password keeps popping up
from time to time; if I click it away, I can run my experiment. I also was never asked to insert the
dongle.) Is there any way to initiate the registration from within the running beta-Eprime2?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Christian

This problem was solved.
Brandon instructed me to manually start the licensemanager
which allowed me to input the correct serial key.
Thanks again!

Hi there,
here are the two suggestions I got from pst that solved my problems:
1) If you go to the Start/Run prompt and type "C:\Program Files\Pst\E-Prime 2.0\Program\LicenseManager.exe" (with the quotes) and select OK does the prompt for user/inst/serial come up?
2) ...
3) Did you install the .NET 2.0 Framework prior to installing E-Prime?
To save space, we do not include this in the minimal install but can be obtained at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=en

Hope this helps,
Christian
