I had the trial version expired problem and fixed it with the patch as in the other thread, but I used E-Prime 2 the other day, saved and closed, and then when I went to re-open my experiment all I get is the message that E-Studio is initializing and it refuses to open anything.
I've un-installed, reinstalled, re-patched twice to no avail.
E-Run will work but after a run I get the error message below.
Can anyone shed some light?

bwg,
Did you happen to add a new USB device before this happened? I had the same problem recently just after I added a new USB device, I think it confused the USB key. I do not remember if just shutting down & restarting fixed it, in any case since I removed the extra USB device (I just needed it for a moment) the problem went away.

Hi,
I did have other USB items attached so disconnected them all, rebooted and tried to open E Studio again. All to no avail.
I didn't however attempt to reinstall with all the other USB items disconnected as it was twenty five mins past five and time to go home. I will try that tomorrow.
Thing is if E Prime does get confused by the introduction of new USB items then it's going to be a tad irritating as I (as I am sure many do) need to have a variety of USB things connected for varying reasons.
Also, it was working perfectly well up till last Friday after patching it, when this happened for no apparent reason. I'd not attached anything different at that point, but I have have some new RAM put in yesterday.

Okay,
So I used the Windows Uninstaller app to get rid of any traces of E-Prime. I reinstalled using the one from the download area. Patched it and got to the registration screen and now it hangs on that and even though the serial number is correct it won't okay it. I can click cancel and it takes me to E-Studio with user unknown and no licence number installed.
