| Hi My lab are going to a lab in another city to run a EEG experiment. The problem is that this lab uses E-prime version 1.1, while we have the 2.0 version, and thus they can not run our experiment made in the 2.0 format. Is it possible to convert the 2.0 file format to 1.1 i our E-prime 2.0? I have tried the "save as" function, but the only file format option is *.es2. Thank you Ane

| There is no way to go downgrade an experiment. Depending on the complexity of the experiment, you could attempt to recreate it in 1.x. If the other lab is not ready to move to E-Prime 2.x, you could purchase a runtime license that gets installed and use your ebs2 file to run and collect the experiment data. -Brandon

| Thanks for your fast reply. We are going to try to program the experiment again in the 1.1 version the day before testing. Is the 1.1 version user interface much different than the 2.0 version? It would be great to know approximately how much time I need too understand the old E-prime version based on my knowledge of the 2.0 version. Your help will be greatly appreciated

| The E-Studio interface is not significantly different, but I would caution doing so the day before a run. if you are certain you are not using any new features (movies, audio capture, multiple display) then you should be alright but keep in mind depending on the complexity of your experiment that you will need to pop open each object and then adjust all of the properties. Editing lists can pretty much be done via copy/paste. -Brandon
