Just want to double check that I understand how the refresh rate of my monitor will affect the timing of my stimulus object (and all objects for that matter).

I've been trying to set my monitor at 100Hz for ease of calculating stimulus durations, but for whatever reason E-Prime is reporting it as 75.013 regardless of what I do in the display properties in Windows control panel.

So... if my refresh rate is actually 75.013, there must be a screen refresh every 13.3ms.  Correct?  Should I therefore set all of my object's durations to be a multiple of 13ms?  Or should I round this up to 14ms?

Thanks

i have a similar problem with my monitor. if eprime and monitor give you different refresh rates then set them to be equal and then for durations id use 13 rather than 14. also, someone has also mentioned that if you want a single frame duration for your stimuli, its a good idea to use 0 rather than 13 (if thats one refresh).
