I've just upgraded to the supplied Eprime v2.0.1.103, Estudio version 2.0.1.79, having previously been running the earlier, downloaded release candidate.

In the experiment we are designing, we have short video clips, and in the earlier incarnation, these ran fine.  Now, the experiment gives us:-

Run-time error 11030:Unable to create surface for display frame host

Marker: 72

Any pointers on how we can resolve this for the newer version?

Many thanks,

Eddie

Okay, that problem is solved, by upgrading the video hardware...but unfortunately, it's revealed a subsequent problem.

For some reason, it appears to be retaining the final frame of the previous video in the video buffer, and this is flashing onto the screen at the start of the next stimulus playback.

This only occurs during the main block of the experiment, which is a direct copy of the practice block, which does not suffer this problem. The only difference between the two blocks is that the experimental block has 48 levels, comprise 8 repeats of 6 files - the practice session has one repeat of the 6 files.

Prerelease of 800 has been added to the relevant objects, but the effect is persistent.

We have tried stop after/no stop after, terminate/none for the end conditions.

Is there a piece of code I can put into an inline object to force a flush of the video buffer - I have not been able to find such in the help files.

many thanks,

Eddie
